How the Program Works

1. Register Your Child
Children from birth to age five who live in Henry County can enroll at no cost.
 

2. Books Arrive Monthly
Each month, your child receives one age-appropriate, high-quality book mailed directly to your home.
 

3. A Home Library Grows
By age five, your child can build a personal library of up to 60 books — creating meaningful moments and strong early literacy foundations.

Important Details

Please allow 6–8 months for your child’s first book to arrive.

We can serve up to 1,775 children at a time at Ferst Readers of Henry County.

New children are added as older participants graduate at age five.

All books are selected by reading specialists, librarians, educators, and child development experts.
